CHANGES
AT WHALE TAIL PHARMACY, October 2010
Sarah and Bill will be taking a year's sabbatical
from work, but they will still be on the Island and will continue to
work intermittently at the drugstore.
Kevin and Julie McDonald have
agreed to manage Whale Tail for the upcoming year. Julie is a
registered pharmacist and Kevin will be the business manager for the
store. They drove up from south Florida to arrive just in time for
POW's exciting Autumn weather. Julie has worked in community
pharmacy for the past two years. Before going to pharmacy school she
worked as an environmental specialist/field biologist. Kevin has
owned his own business in the building trades in the past.
Their multiple interests and many hobbies are varied and include:
Kevin enjoys watching and playing sports. He is fan of the Florida
Seminoles as well as the Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins.
Another of his interests is mission work particularly construction
trades in missions. His hobbies include off-roading in his Jeep or
on motorcycles, working on his Jeep, playing sports (softball,
volleyball, horseshoes, etc), fishing and hunting, as well as most
any outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, boating or canoeing.
He mentioned his "passions" as including his wife, Julie, as well as
woodworking and carpentry.
Julie's interests include issues in women's health as well as
behavioral health, coaching children in sports (to include
gymnastics and cheerleading) and cooking. Her hobbies are lobstering
and fishing, most any outdoor activities, gardening, and working
with hospitalized children. Her passions are mentoring pharmacy
students and student groups within the Christian Pharmacist
Fellowship International organization, advocating to change
reproductive health policies, and medical missions. |
